Basic Instructions for Dreamweaver
This is an elastic page
This is an example of an elastic page made from a Dreamweaver ready-made page. This is the most basic elastic example offered. You can also have elastic pages with header and footer and left or right side bars.
To get this page:
File → new → blank → HTML → 1 column elastic, centered
This is what an elastic page does:
The column width is specified in a unit of measurement (ems) relative to the size of the text. The design adapts if the site visitor changes the text settings. He might do this if he needs to have a larger font to read.
The design does not change if the browser window is re-sized.
This appears the same as a fixed page unless you change the font size when viewing the page.
| this is a table | The size might change if the site visitor changes the font size. |
| cell in table <td> | cell |
| across is a row <tr> | part of same row |
Div tag with an image in it.
